If you love a parade (and let’s face it, who doesn’t?), you won’t want to miss the 2017 Come-See-Me Parade on Thursday, April 20! This year’s parade serves as the official kick-off to Rock Hill’s salute to spring.

The first Come-See-Me Parade was held in 1972. Over the years, the parade has been held in several different locations, including Cherry Road. Since 2008, the route has traveled through Old Town. This year’s parade, sponsored by Wells Fargo, will begin on Oakland Avenue at  Agape International Ministries, turn onto White Street, go through the Wells Fargo parking lot, then proceed down Main Street to Fountain Park. Although construction projects have affected parking, there’s still plenty of room for everyone to come and enjoy the festivities. The downtown parking garages will be open and there are several city and church parking lots near the parade route.

This year’s parade theme is Find Your Adventure. We’re working on several things to make this year’s event more fun than ever before. For example, members of the Tadpoles Club will be in the parade for the first time ever. (Sign up today if you’d like your child to be a member.) Participating in the parade is a great way to promote your group or cause—plus you get to use your parade wave! We’re always looking for new entries. Fill out our online registration form and pay your entry fee today. You’ll be contacted by a Team Leader when your application is approved. Or, grab some friends and come out on April 20 to enjoy the first evening of festival fun!
