What will you be doing six weeks from today? We hope you’ll be making plans to hang out with your friends and family at the Come-See-Me Festival! That’s right—the festival will be underway in just 40 days. While we’ll kick things off with some of your favorite events (including the Come-See-Me Festival Parade, Beach Bash, Musical Mania, and Chalk on Main), there are some important changes you need to be aware of for others. One of the biggest changes this year affects the events on the first Saturday of the festival.

Due to construction at Cherry Park, Gourmet Gardens and the Mayor’s Frog Jump will have a new home this year. Join us for food, fun, and frogs at Winthrop Lake, right beside Winthrop Coliseum (1162 Eden Terrace, Rock Hill, SC 29730). Gourmet Gardens will have a great assortment of local food vendors along with fun rides and activities for kids. The Mayor’s Frog Jump is one of the Come-See-Me Festival’s truly signature events. Bring your own frog or use one of ours and be a part of the action and excitement!

While you’re there, hang out at Hops at the Park. After a successful inaugural year in 2017, this celebration of craft beverages will also move to Winthrop Lake for 2018. Enjoy live music and adult beverages for purchase ($5 each) or buy a VIP ticket for unlimited tastes in our sampling garden. VIP tickets are $30 in advance and $40 the day of the event. (IDs are required for all adult beverage purchases and you must be 21+ to enter the VIP area.)

Other activities will also be held at the Winthrop Lake location throughout the day. Start off your morning at the Come-See-Me Road Races, which will start and finish at Winthrop Coliseum. Register now for either the 5K or 10K races or bring your kids out for the Fun Run. If that’s not enough competition for you, toss your name in for the Cornhole Throwdown.

And while there’s tons going on in one convenient location, that’s not all. Don’t forget to head down Cherry Road to the Giordana Velodrome at the Rock Hill Outdoor Center for Healthy Kids Zone.

As you can see, the first Saturday of Come-See-Me has something for everyone. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+ for all the latest updates. Make plans to join us for one or more of these fun festival events!
