After months of anticipation, the Come-See-Me Festival is finally here! The forecast is looking good, the gardens are in full bloom, and we’re ready to welcome folks from all over to Rock Hill for this 10-day salute to spring! Here’s what you need to know for the first few days of events.
All the fun kicks off tomorrow, April 12, with the Come-See-Me Festival Parade. This year’s theme is “Turn Back Time” and it promises to be a totally awesome salute to the 80s. The parade steps off at 6:30pm and will travel through Old Town Rock Hill.
Start your weekend off right by shagging to the sounds of the 17South party band at Friday night’s Beach Bash. If you have little ones in your family, check out Musical Mania and Chalk on Main while you’re downtown.
Saturday brings lots of activity but also some changes you should be aware of. The Come-See-Me Road Races, Mayor’s Frog Jump, Gourmet Gardens, Hops at the Park, and Cornhole Throwdown will all be held at Winthrop Lake this year. Check the festival website or app for hours and event details. Healthy Kids Zone will still be held at the Giordana Velodrome, just a short drive down Cherry Road from the day’s other events.
One of the festival’s most anticipated events, Sundaes With Glen & Mother Goose, will be held this Sunday. Stay tuned to our social media feeds for any official weather-related updates. You can also download the Come-See-Me app. Be sure to turn on notifications for the app so you’ll get all the breaking news.
It’s shaping up to be a busy weekend but that’s just the beginning! Next week is jam-packed with festival activities. We hope to see you at lots of our events this year!
